- Test Riding Practice – with a British Dressage Listed Judge who will give you tips and advice
- A talk on how to get started with British Dressage, opportunities for members and how to get involved with BD Northern
- A Chance to meet other riders wanting to make that step into Affiliated Competitions
- Ride at BD competition venues and meet some of the BD Northern organisers and staff

BYRDS Rider Test Riding Practice
College Farm Equestrian Centre

Vikki is a British Dressage BYRDS Rider Test Assessor, Regional BYRDS Coach, and British Dressage Listed Judge along with British Horse Society Instructor and has a Master’s Degree in Learning and Teaching.
Vikki has produced many horses from novice through to PSG in dressage and Advanced Eventing.
Participants will be allocated a 15 minute time slot and will have the opportunity to work in prior to their time. At the allocated time participants will rider through the relevant BYRDS Rider Tests which Vikki will mark and then give feedback on the test.
These are a great way to assess your dressage skills and techniques.
Scores can be used for selection for the BYRDS Inter Regional’s 2013.
Anyone under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.

We had a very successful training day at Brooksby on the 17th January, despite the awful weather conditions!
We had a super turn as you see from the photos and some super demonstration riders.
Thanks to everyone involved, but especially Jane for keeping us interested and entertained and to Sarah for driving miles in the awful weather to support us.

You need to be a current BD member, hold a current first aid & child protection certificate and be registered with EQL in order to take part on the course. First aid can be from either BHS, red cross, St Johns Ambulance.

Developing Lateral Work for the Coach & Rider

About the training:
This will be an opportunity to observe Jane coaching riders through the variety of lateral movements required in the dressage arena. From Leg Yield, Shoulder in, Travers, Half Pass and Pirouettes. Participants will gain an understanding of the aims of each movement, how they should be executed and the effect of the rider.
